A Decade and Half Year Of Standing Tall, Growing Stronger

On July 14^th 2023, Addosser Microfinance Bank celebrated a remarkable milestone – 15 years of unwavering commitment to its vision of improving the lives of everyday people. This journey, characterized by humble beginnings, sheer hard work, and unyielding resilience, has transformed Addosser MFB into a leader in the Microfinance Banking sector. The bank has empowered countless individuals and small businesses with access to financial services, championed financial inclusion, and spurred economic growth.

Addosser MFB is deeply thankful for its journey thus far, overcoming hurdles while standing tall and growing stronger. In order to mark the occasion, the bank threw a jubilant milestone celebration spanning a week long with a series of events designed to celebrate and appreciate customers, staff, and the institutions numerous milestones and achievements.

One notable event was the vibrant road show that took place in the heart of Lagos Island’s market, where a significant portion of the bank’s customers reside. During this event, a raffle draw was held, rewarding customers with various items, including bags, solar lights, electronic fans, irons and other household essentials. Similar gestures were extended to customers across its different branches in Lagos, all aimed at showing appreciation for their loyalty and trust in the bank over the years.

Another major highlight to mark the anniversary celebration was a special grand finale event for staff at the head office. Staff and management dressed “Flamboyantly African” to show the rich heritage of its root as they cheered and assembled to cut the momentous cake, celebrating our resilience, growth, hard work and unwavering commitment. The anniversary celebration culminated in music, dancing, and food to mark the occasion.

In his address, the Managing Director Adebayo Fabiyi proudly acknowledged the bank’s remarkable growth over the years. He emphasized the consistent delivery of strong financial performance, highlighting the bank’s strategic alignment for future success. He also mentioned that the management is proud of its accomplishments, but are not resting on their laurels.

Mr. Fabiyi attributed the bank’s success to the trust and confidence bestowed upon it by valued stakeholders and the unwavering dedication of its staff. He acknowledged that Addosser has been blessed with a supportive and committed workforce, referring to them as the bank’s greatest assets. Their unwavering commitment to the bank’s mission has been instrumental in its success. Mr. Fabiyi extended immense gratitude to the customers, recognizing them as the lifeblood of the institution.
