Addosser Microfinance Bank has just been awarded the ‘Most Outstanding Female Centric Microfinance Bank‘ of year 2021/2022 by WIMCA at the WIMCA 2022 Gala and Awards night held on the 8th of October, 2022 at Landmark Event Center, Lagos State.

WIMCA (Women in Marketing and Communications Conference and Award) is the largest gathering of female brands, marketing and communications professionals in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa which caters to contemporaneous issues relating to women in the industry and recognizes, celebrates and inspires women to attain the zenith of their careers while recognizing brands and organizations pushing the frontiers of empowerment for women in the society.

According to WIMCA, microfinance banks in Nigeria were bench-marked against each other in respect to the level in which they have impacted the lives of women, and Addosser MFB stood head above shoulders among its peers for inspiring, promoting and encouraging women through the different programmes aimed at supporting women.

This awards comes to Addosser as a huge reward and appreciation for the hard work the institution has put into supporting the female gender through our line of empowerment programs, gender specific financial products and services, grants and other benefits to our MSME female clients and members of the SWEC (SME Women Entrepreneurs Club) community.

With over 60% of the bank’s customers being women, Addosser MFB promises to remain at the forefront of empowering and impacting women, especially female entrepreneurs with financial and business skills through its three focus areas of providing access to expertise, access to finance and access to market in a bid to help them reach their business and personal goals.

At the event, the award recipient, Temitope Afolabi, the Territorial Co-ordinator, Lagos Mainland on behalf of Management dedicated the award to all staff for their commitment and dedication in heeding to the Managements directive towards supporting the female gender which is one of our key Social Impact initiatives on Empowerment.

In conclusion, the entire management and staff is indeed pleased to be recognized as the ‘Most Outstanding Female Centric MFB’ as this is a testament to keep up with our efforts in placing women at the core of our business.
