Addosser Microfinance Bank is proud to support the advancement of women’s football in Nigeria through our partnership with the Raliat Anako Abdulsalam Foundation (RAAF) for the Lagos Female Unity Cup, in collaboration with the Lagos State Sports Commission and Lagos State Football Association.
Held from April 23rd to 24th, this tournament promoted grassroots female football, fostering unity among female football clubs. It showcased the athletic prowess of over 300 young women, while fostering confidence, leadership and a strong sense of community. The event not only provided increased visibility for the players, but also identified talents to advance their careers, contributing significantly to the development of women’s sports within the state.
In line with our commitment to women’s empowerment, Addosser Microfinance Bank donated ₦1,000,000 to the female football tournament. By supporting events like the RAAF Lagos Female Unity Cup, we reinforce our dedication to empowering women to thrive, pursue their aspirations and make impactful contributions to society.
